I met Willie 4 times on Long Island, New York!

I have had the fortunate experience of meeting Willie Nelson 4 times on Long Island, New York. A few times after his concert at Westbury Music Fair, Westbury, New York, we went to Willie's bus. He would come out after freshening up and he would spend as much time as it took to chat and sign and have pictures taken with each and every fan. One time when he was playing at the Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York we actually got to go inside his bus! It was pouring that night. Everyone attending the concert ran to their cars. We headed in the pouring rain right to Willie's bus. We asked his bus driver, Gator, if we could meet with Willie. He stepped up into the bus. When he returned down the steps, he told us that Willie said to come on in! I will never in my life forget that experience. We stepped up the bus stairs, turned to our left and there was Willie greeting us with a smile. His sister Bobbi and other band members were all gathered around. Willie took his time with us and it was as though he was a good old friend. That is the way Willie is with ALL his fans. What an amazing man with an incredible spirit. I apologized to him for taking up too much of his time. He turned to me and replied, "Time is all we have, take as much time as your need." Those words stayed in my mind for years.
